A loft conversion that utilised natural breathable insulation materials, of wood fibre board and sheepswool. The brief for the project was to bring more light an less heat loss into a small and cold loft. The roof was insulated with 100mm thermafleece ultra wool, with 40mm wood fibre board on the face of the rafters. The wood fibre board was then lime plastered onto, giving a well insulated and breathable wall/ roof build up. 

 

The addition of a large double glazed velux roof window has provided lots of light and a good view across Bristol.
