Golden Hill Community Garden Straw bale building

 

We were commissioned by Golden Hill Community Garden in Horfield to build them a hub building for using as a dry space for volunteers, for hosting their many community events and for hiring out to other groups.  The build was undertaken with a group of volunteer apprentices who worked through the whole length of the build and learnt the ropes of straw bale building.  

 

The build has a sedum green roof and is powered by the Tower of Power solar array.
